Comfortaire Nouvelle Series

Nouvelle is the second series in the 2015 Comfortaire Collection of adjustable airbeds. It has three models: N11 Radiance, N15 Reflections, and N17 Enchantment. N17 is the top-of-the-line model in this new collection by Comfortaire. The key features of this series are Attune Design™ air support system, WhisperFlo 7200 (Wf7) air pump, and Feran Ice® Technology sleeping surface cooling.

The air support system, now called Attune, is a further development of the Original Air Technology™, first developed by Comfortaire, the original adjustable airbed company. Attune brings air support closer to the sleeper with the air chamber layer just under the cover and comfort layer.

The air chambers are made of urethane film and extend edge-to-edge. This makes support adjustable across the entire length and width of the air bed.

Unlike the older 6" high cotton-latex air chambers used in the Genesis Series, the height of the Attune chambers progresses with the models from 2" in the N11 Radiance to 3½" in N15 Reflections and N17 Enchantment.

Inflation of the Attune air chambers is powered by the WhisperFlo 7200 Air Pump. This is more powerful than previous versions. WhisperFlo is a diaphragm pump, making it quieter than the original air pumps used for air beds.

Beneath the Attune air support layers in each Comfortaire Nouvelle Series mattress is a support layer of 1.8-lb. high resiliency polyurethane foam. This is to provide undergirding support for the thinner-walled air chambers, soften impacts, and cushion them on the underlying solid foundation.

The covers of Nouvelle Series mattresses use Comfortaire's Feran Ice® Technology. This relies on moisture wicking to keep the top of the mattress dry and cool. Fibers in the cover channel moisture from perspiration away from the sleeper. Air circulating through the fabric then evaporates, providing a cooling effect.

The comfort layers are Comfortaire's proprietary versions of memory foam. N11 Radiance and N15 Reflections use Evellafoam, the latex-memory foam blend which is more supportive and durable. N17 Enchantment uses PerceptivePhase Foam™ which is infused with "phase changing gel." This gel is composed of phase change materials (PCMs) to keep temperatures within a designated range. PCMs do this by liquifying at the top of the range to absorb heat and solidifying at the bottom of the range to release heat.

All Nouvelle air beds are compatible with adjustable beds. They also work well with platform beds. Regular box springs are not recommended for adjustable air beds.

Nouvelle airbed mattresses are covered by Comfortaire's 25-year limited warranty, with full coverage for the first 4 years, and prorated coverage for the remaining 16.
