The Specialty Comfort Series of adjustable air beds by Comfortaire are specialized for applications other than normal home use. The company says, "Have a unique mattress requirement? Our specialty beds ensure that you can still enjoy the comfort and health benefits of sleeping on the original air bed." This category of Comfortaire mattresses has two applications: Waterbed Replacement and RV Mattress.
The Waterbed Replacement airbed is a 13" high eurotop model. My guess as to the name is that it is marketed to people wanting to replace their waterbeds. This could be because the support is considered to be equivalent to that of a waterbed, but without all the liquid. Or it could fit into a frame made for a waterbed.
RV Mattresses are 9" high. They are engineered for the rigors of a moving vehicle. It promises to bring the comfort of the user's airbed at home along on the road.
Both Specialty Comfort mattresses are available in the standard sizes, but they are also available in non-standard dimensions. These are determined as the customer orders the bed.
Both models come with a choice of dual or single air chambers. They are cotrolled by Comfortaire's latest controller, the Q10™ Wireless ACS, which is also sold as an upgrade for older Comfortaire models. Each of these models is reviewed separately.
Both of the Comfortaire Specialty Comfort Series models are covered by a 25-year limited manufacturers warranty.
