Corsicana Bedding Medical Division

The Medical Division of Corsicana Bedding, Inc., provides Mattresses, Cushions and Pads, Floor Mats, Bed Rail Pads and Wedges, and Covers, Pads & Extenders to healthcare businesses and insititutions, "including nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and many more."

Corsicana lists 17 Medical Division mattress models, However, close inspection of the list show two pairs of identical listings. If these are duplicates (without unlisted differences), then there are 15 models. this includes four types of mattresses: Innerspring mattresses (2 models), Foam mattresses (6 or 7), Therapeutic Foam (4 or 5) and Multi-layered Foam (3). The Multi-layered Foam mattresses are 6 inches high; all the rest are 7 inches.

The Innerspring models are both 36" wide. One is 80" and the other 84" long. The support for these is a layer of coil springs. Corsicana's Medical Division catalogue listing does not include details of individual models, so the type of coils is not shown.

One Foam model is 84" long, and the rest 80". The widths vary: 42, 48, 52, 60, and 75 inches wide. All Foam beds are rated for a capacity of up to 600 pounds, including patient, bedding and attached devices. The foam is more likely to be polyurethane, less likely to be latex.

Mattresses in the Therapeutic Foam category are all 36" wide. Two are 84" long and the others 80". One 80" and one 84" model have wings. The kind of foam is not revealed in the listings, but "Therapeutic" seems to indicate either memory foam or latex.

All the Multi-layered Foam models of Corsicana Medical Division mattresses are also multi-zoned with more support for the heaviest section of the body. All of these are 36" wide. One 80" model has wings, The others are 80" and 84" long.

No healthcare beds to hold Medical Division mattresses are listed on the Corsicana Bedding site, but they do not sell foundations for their other mattresses. These mattresses can be used on existing medical beds, such as adjustable bds..

No prices or warranties are listed on the site for mattresses in the Corsicana Bedding Medical Division. With other manufacturers, healthcare mattresses usually have shorter warranty periods than home use models.
