The first group listed in the new lineup of mattressees by Corsicana Bedding is the Micro Coil Collection. Corsicana says that this collection "utilizes individually encased springs and ultra-flexible encased wire to give increased support while providing the ultimate comfort."
Two Corsicana Micro Coil hybrid mattress series are curently listed by retailers, the Europa 1000 Gel Microcoil and the Euphoria Series II Hybrid Gel Memory Foam HD Micro Coil. The Europa is 11" high, and the Euphoria 14½" in Pillow Top and 15" high in Super Euro Pillow Top.
The Europa and Euphoria each have a layer of microcoils to bring pocket coil contouring closer to the sleepers. These series differ in the number of coils, which assumes a difference in coil diameter. The coil count of the Euphoria models is 2000, and that of Europa 1344. Europa 1000 has a 1" top layer of Corsicana's Cool Reflections Gel Memory Foam. The microcoils in the Euphoria models are individually encased in gel-infused memory foam.
The support core of Europa 1000 is 5" of HD base foam, and the microcoils are 3½" high. The Europa also has another 2" comfort layer of "ultrasoft foam."
The support core of the Euphoria II models is not specified, but it may be higher than that of Europa 1000 to make the mattresses 3" to 3½" higher. However, descriptions do name some foams used in comfort layers, such as "Gel Memory Foam with Air Flow Construction" and "Gel Infused Visco Lumbar Support."
The covers of Euphoria II Micro Coil mattresses are a blend of microfibers (polyester), organic cotton and cashmere. Europa 1000's stretch knit cover is zippered to be removable.
Corsicana Micro Coil mattresses have a 10-year warranty, with full coverage for the first year and the remaining nine prorated.
Mattresses like those in the Micro Coil Collection by Corsicana Bedding are compatible with foundations such as platforms, full-support steel bed bases and adjustable beds, and will work with European wood slats if they are spaced closely enough. Traditional box springs are not recommended, However, several retailers call their platform and slatted foundations "box springs" from continuing common usage of the term.
