Costco Novaform 12" FlexTech
Memory Foam Mattress
The
FlexTech is one of two 12"
Novaform memory foam mattresses made by
Sleep Innovations for
Costco Wholesale Clubs. It is also one of four models in the
Ultimo Collection and one of four using
FlexTech.
What makes the
Novaform FlexTech mattress unique in this line is the use of the 1"
FlexTech air channel foam in the top layer.
FlexTech is foam with air channels in the surface to facilitate the flow of air for cooling and freshness. Another effect of the channels is the flexibility of the foam's surface. The ridges of the channels have a contouring response as each raised portion yields individually to weight placed on it. The

Costco description says that this model is "or those who like to sleep on top of their mattress, rather than in it."
A 1" layer of
UltraSoft memory foam beneath the
FlexTech brings the comfort level of the
Novaform FlexTech to Plush (7/10) with a 2/5 contouring level. The 10" base foam layer provides both support and stability to this mattress.
The
cover of the
Novaform FlexTech Memory Foam Mattress is quilted matelassé. It meets federal standards for resistance to flames.
The foundation is not included with the mattress, but has to be purchased separately. Generally, the recommended foundations for foam mattresses are platforms, closely-spaced
wood slats, or
adjustable bases. However, some listings of
Novaform mattresses say that they work with box springs, though most manufacturers advise against this as it tends to shorten the life of the mattress.
The
FlexTech Memory Foam Mattress has a 20-year manufacturer's warranty. It is compressed and packaged to facilitate shipping and delivery.
