Costco Novaform 14" Primafina Gel Memory Foam Mattress Is one eight
Novaform memory foam mattresses made by
Sleep Innovations for
Costco and the first of these listed on the warehouse club's website. Constructed in three layers, it totals 14 inches in height.
The 9" support core consists of high-density polyurethane foam. On this is a 2" layer of "ultrasoft"
memory foam, topped with a 3" gel memory foam layer. The "ultrasoft" is to reduce firmness without compromising the firm support, while the gel-infused memory foam cools the sleeping surface. The overall firmness of this model is 6 on a scale of ten (1 being the firmest), making it Medium Plush. Meanwhile, according to
Sleep Innovations, the contouring level of the
Primafina is 2 (the 2
nd least conforming on a scale of 5). The matelassé cover of the
Novaform 14" Primafina is quilted to make it plush (see the close-up of the cover in the inset).
As with the other
Costco Novaform models, the
14" Primafina has a 20-year manufacturer's warranty. It is compressed and packaged to facilitate shipping and delivery and will require a little time to fully expand.
