The
Cotton Caresse Dual 10 is the second model in the
Toscana Collection of
memory foam mattresses by Italian manufacturer
Magniflex. It replaces the
Biocotton Caresse Deluxe Dual 12 in the
Magniflex product line. Made in Italy,
Magniflex products have been certified by
OEKO and
GOTS as free of harmful substances.
Cotton Caresse Dual 10 is a dual comfort mattress, meaning the the zippered cover can be opened and the support unit turned over to change the comfort level. The comfort choices in this model are Medium Plush and Medium Firm.
The support unit is 1" of
Geomemory Aloe Vera foam on the 7½"
Ecogreen support core.
Ecogreen is made with essential oils from plants replacing petroleum products, and water replacing chemical solvents. Its cellular structure makes it flexible enough to provide proper support to the back, hips and other areas of the body. It also makes this support material breathable.
Geomemory is "anatomical," which means that it conforms to the body the way memory foam does. It is infused with aloe vera extract (or soya).

Organic
cotton forms the
cover of the
Cotton Caresse Dual 10. Immediately under the cover fabric is a 1"
Memoform layer.
Memoform is the
Magniflex memory foam, described by the company as its "most anatomical." This means that it has the highest degree of conformity and contouring of any material used in the construction of
Magniflex mattresses. It is an open-cell
foam, so it is breathable. This makes it cooler and drier than otherwise.
The fabric on the border of the
Cotton Caresse Dual 10 is fabricated to have e 3-D sculpted surface. This leaves pockets of air inside, where humidity evaporates and is carried out through the fabric. The cover is removable and dry cleanable.
As much as is practical, petroleum derivatives have been replaced by plant-based substances.
Memoform's formulation makes it respond more to body weight than to heat. Therefore it absorbs less heat, making it cooler.
Beneath the
Memoform in the
Cotton Caresse Dual 10 is a ½" padding layer of hypoallergenic fiber.
Preferred
foundations for the
Cotton Caresse Dual 10 are
platforms,
wood slats, and
adjustable beds. It carries
Magniflex's 20-year warranty, with 10 years non-prorated and 10 prorated. It is available through several retailers in the United States and Canada.
