Cotton Experience 9
The
Cotton Experience 9 is a
memory foam mattress in the
Toscana Collection by
Magniflex, an Italian manufacturer of specialty sleep
mattresses. Part of the 2014 upgrading of the
Magniflex product line, it is redesigned from the
Magniflex Linen Experience Deluxe. This 9" high model has a comfort level of Medium Firm. Key features of the
Toscana Collection, including the
Cotton Experience 9, are
organic cotton in the cover and a support core of
Ecogreen support foam. The claim is that these mattresses respect nature.
The organic cotton fabric in the
cover is backed by a fire retardant material to meet Federal flammability standards. Other than this, materials in the
Cotton Experience 9 are certified by OEKO and GOTS.
Under this cover are a 1" layer of
Memofoam and ½" super soft fiber filling.
Memofoam is a version of
memory foam developed by
Magniflex. To the conforming support of memory foam is added rapid adjustment to a sleeper's movements. This makes it easier for the user to move, including getting in and out of bed. The fiber filling is hypoallergenic.
The support core is 7½" of
Ecogreen, a high density foam based on soy oils, thus reducing the role of petroleum derivatives in this mattress. This support undergirds the comfort layers above.
The recommended
foundations for the
Magniflex Cotton Exprerience 9 are
wood slats and
platforms. The warranty is for 20 years. The
Cotton Experience 9 is sold through several retailers in North America.
