Classic Collection is the new name (in 2015) for the Visions Collection of the CoolTouch Collections by Diamond Mattress. As of now it has only one series, Vision Beds (a.k.a. Classic Vision) with three models: 8" Vision (Firm, 9 on 10-point scale), 10" Vision Supreme (Medium, 6), and 12" Vision Luxe (Plush, 4).
These are specialty sleep mattresses, meaning no coils. The signature feature of the CoolTouch Collections, including the Classic, is CoolTouch Memory Foam. Where the Classic Collection differs from the CoolTouchGEL Collection is that the memory foam in the Classic mattresses is not infused with gel.
Memory foam's advantage is its conformity to body contours to provide full support along the whole body and to relieve pressure on large joints. It also minimizes the transfer of motion from one part of the sleeping surface to another, reducing partner disturbance.
Diamond Mattress's solution to the problem of memory foam overheating is two-fold. First, the memory foam is made from plant oils. These are converted to polyols, which are the precursors for polyurethane foam and memory foam. The the foam is ventilated, by open cell structure, then by vertical perforation to enhance airflow.
The thickness of the CoolTouch Memory Foam varies by model along with that of the support core. There is 2" of CoolTouch in Vision, 3" in Vision Supreme, and 4" in Vision Luxe.
The support core of each Classic (Vision) mattress is Diamond Mattress's high density Orthopedic Support foam. This is 8" high in the Vision Luxe, 7" in the Vision Supreme, and 6" in Vision. The role of the support core is underlying support for the memory foam atop it and for the sleeper. This is to prevent bottoming out and to prolong the life of the memory foam.
Under the support core is a base pad of even firmer foam to act as a shock absorber and to protect the foams above. On a platform bed or the deck of an adjustable bed, this transitions the support from the core to the firmer surface below.
The cover of 4-way strech knit rayon is key to the Direct Contact design by Diamond Mattress. According to the company, "Direct Contact design means there is nothing between you and comfortable sleep and that your mattress will never break down or become uncomfortable." Being stretch knit, the cover conforms with the memory foam. If it could not stretch, it would bridge when the foam yielded. If it could not shrink back, it would bunch up when the foam straightened.
Vision Beds are compatible with platform beds, European wood slats, and adjustable beds. The default foundation is an upholstered wooden box-style base with a fixed slat or solid top (box springs are generally not suitable for foam mattresses). Diamond Mattress also lists two Body Logic adjustable beds made by Ergomotion: Refuge Adjustable Lifestyle Base and Activate Adjustable Lifestyle Base.
Classic Vision mattresses are available in six sizes: Twin, Twin Long, Full (Double), California King, and Eastern King. They are covered by Diamond Mattress with a 20-year limited warranty. Diamond notes that these are their only mattresses not made in America, and that they are delivered compressed.

In the beginning this was a comfortable mattress then it started to have problems after about two years the seams split on both sides of the mattress and it started to sag. this mattress has become so hard to sleep on that my wife has to get out of bed in the middle of the night and use a heating pad on her back to sooth the pain! After submitting a warranty claim they sent out an inspector well the inspector is a contract inspector who is paid to deny claims not process them. My suggestion is to look elsewhere this is a poor quality product with not customer service what so ever ! Don't waste your hard earned money on this company !
