The CoolTouchGel Series is now the CoolTouchGel Collection, one of three under the CoolTouch Collections line by Diamond Mattress Company. Two series previously reviewed here are CoolTouchGel Ambrosia and CoolTouchGel Caress. Two more have been added, and this collection now has four series, also including CoolTouchGEL Enchantment and CoolTouchGEL Harmony.
Enchantment Series and Harmony Series each have three models, while Caress Series and Ambrosia Series each have two. As in other Diamond Mattress series, each model is named after its comfort level and/or construction style. Overall, firmness levels range from 2 to 9 on a 10-point scale, and heights vary from 10½ to 14½ inches. They are, with their firmness levels (1 to 10) and heights, as follows:

The signature feature of this collection is CoolTouchGel in the comfort layer. This is Diamond Mattress's vertically ventilated CoolTouch memory foam infused with beads of gel. The gel adds support to the memory foam. It also absorbs more heat than the memory foam, slowing down the warming of the foam. This method of cooling does have its limits, but generally does have merit, especially coupled with ventilation.
The 4-way stretch knit fabric in the covers of CoolTouchGEL memory foam mattresses is part of the Direct Contact design of Diamond Mattress.
The support core and the base pad of a CoolTouchGEL Collection mattress are made of Orthopedic Foam, a high density Diamond Mattress foam made using plant oils. The very firm support core supplies underlying support for everything above it, and the even firmer base pad acts as a shock absorber and transitional support between the mattress and the hard surface of the foundation.
The standard foundation for mattresses in the CoolTouchGEL Collection is the Diamond Foundation. This is an upholstered hardwood box base, like a platform bed. The standard height is 8" but it is available in 4" low profile.
Diamond Mattress suggests their Body Logic adjustable beds for the CoolTouchGEL mattresses. The two models, Refuge Adjustable Lifestyle Base and Activate Adjustable Lifestyle Base, are made by Ergomotion. These replace the Pro-Motion and S-Cape by Leggett & Platt in Diamond Mattress's lineup.
CoolTouchGEL Collection mattresses come with the Diamond Mattress 25-year warranty.
