Also called the Kid Stuff Collection, the DM Kids Collection from Diamond Mattress has four models designed and made specifically for children and youth. The first two models, differing only in color (Blue or Pink) are the Cool Kids memory foam mattresses. The last two models, the ABC One and ABC Two, are innerspring mattresses with Bonnell coils and cotton padding.
The Cool Kids models feature Diamond Mattress's CoolTouch Gel Memory Foam. This is vertically ventilated open-cell memory foam infused with beads of gel. The gel beads add support while absorbing a portion of the heat. This is to counter the tendency of unmodified memory foam to accumulate heat. The foam is made with natural plant oils to reduce the use of petroleum and eliminate harmful emissions. Diamond Mattress processes the foam itself. These 7" high mattresses have a Medium feel with a firmness rating of 6.
The velour cover of Cool Kids mattresses is removable and washable.
The ABC models have Bonnell innersprings. The 8" high ABC One is Firm (9). The 10" high ABC Two with thicker padding in a Eurotop design is Medium Plush (5). Both models are recommended by Diamond Mattress for "lasting support throughout the night." ABC One is listed as suitable for occasional use, while ABC Two is for everyday sleeping.
The difference in firmness and use of the ABC One and ABC Two is in the layers of cotton padding, an all-natural material. The removable, washable covers are printed in the Crayon pattern.
The conformabilty of the Cool Kids models is high, while that of the ABC models is medium low. These are not compatible with adjustable beds. The provided wood-framed foundation is upholstered to match the mattress, pink or blue velour for Cool Kids and Crayon for ABC.
The available sizes are Twin and Full, with the ABC mattresses adding Twin XL and Full XL. All DM Kids mattresses have a 20-year warranty.
