Dormeo Dolce Line (2016)

The Dormeo Dolcé Line of foam spring mattresses made by Dormeo North America is larger in 2016 than it was in 2015. From five models, it has grown to seven. Two of these, 9" high Purity and 11" Affinity, were displayed at bedding industry trade shows the previous year. Four of the existing models, Felicity (13"), Harmony (12"), Tranquility (11") and Simplicity (8"), carry over with the slight name change of dropping BED from the labels. The 10" high Vitality is replaced by the 12" Longevity.

All mattresses in the Dormeo Dolcé Line have a support core of Dormeo's Ecocell foam. This is labeled as a "durable" material. The 2016 site does not describe it further, but it had been called a plant-based foam with an open-cell structure. The role of this core is the same as in other specialty sleep beds, providing underlying support for the entire mattress.

All of the Dolcé Line mattresses have Dormeo's Octaspring Technology in one or more comfort layers. They are listed in order of the number of foam spring layers. Purity and Simplicity have one, Affinity and Longevity have two, and Tranquility, Harmony and Felicity have three. The website no longer shows cutaway views, but the height of some of the foam coils did differ by model.

Each mattress in the Dormeo Dolcé collection has a top comfort layer of "ultra-deep" memory foam, qualifying them as memory foam mattresses. Memory foam is here for pressure relief.

Another feature shared by all the models in this collection is the cover. The top panel has Dormeo's CoolNTech technology. It is infused with phase change materials (PCMS) to regulate temperature. PCMs do this by changing their physical state at the upper and bottom end of a selected temperature range to absorb or release heat as needed.

The side panels (border) of Dolcé mattresses have wave air-mesh to make them more breathable. This allows the Octasprings to facilitate airflow as designed.

These mattresses are one-sided. Dormeo says they do not require flipping.

Available foundations include platform beds and divans with drawers. These mattresses may also be compatible with adjustable beds.

Available at participating stores, Dormeo Dolcé Line mattresses are covered by a 25-year limited warranty with the first 10 years non-prorated.
