The newest mattress with Octaspring foam springs from Dormeo North America is the Elevate. This 10" high memory foam mattress has a dual comfort layer of about 1" of memory foam, a layer of 3" MemoryCoils, a layer of 3" EcoSprings, and a 3" support core of Eco-Cell foam. All this with a cover featuring temperature regulating materials.
Dormeo bills the design of the Elevate as "a brand new mattress concept." This is in the "silky-soft" DORMEO® CoolNTech cover. The top panel has fibers infused with Phase Change Materials (PCMs). These regulate temperature to stay within a designated range. PCMs change their physical state at the top and bottom of the range. When temperatures are too high, they absorb the excess heat by liquifying. When it is too cool, they release heat by solidifying. As with the other Octaspring mattresses, the side panels are a 360° mesh, allowing a free exchange of air with the interior of the mattress, taking full advantage of the foam springs.
The key component of all Dormeo mattresses are the foam springs, dubbed Octasprings by their inventor. Two kinds are used in the Dormeo Elevate. MemoryCoils are made from memory foam, and EcoSprings from Dormeo's support foam, Eco-Cell. Both of these foams are, as much as practical, made from plant-based polyols to reduce the use of petroleum products. Between the Octaspring layers is a sheet of Eco-Cell.
The foam springs in the upper Octaspring layer of the Dormeo Elevate are memory foam MemoryCoils in three zones. MemoryCoils come in two firmness levels: Soft and Medium. The Octasprings in the head and foot zones are Soft, while those in the middle zone are Medium for more support under the heavier center section of the body. The MemoryCoils relieve pressure on the hips and shoulders while providing even support for the spine. The outside row of MemoryCoils are Medium for edge support. A wide Eco-Cell foam rail goes across each end of the mattress.
The lower Octaspring layer consists of EcoSprings, made of the Eco-Cell support foam. Available in five firmness levels, Soft, Medium Soft, Medium, Medium Firm and Firm, these are arranged in five zones: Head, Upper Torso, Middle Torso, Lower Torso, Feet. The outside rows of this layer are Firm foam springs for edge support. Like the upper Octaspring layer, this one has foam end rails.
At the bottom of the Dormeo Elevate Memory Foam Mattress an approximately 3" high support core of Dormeo's Eco-Cell plant-based polyurethane support foam. this undergirds the whole mattress and protects the Octasprings from below.
Dormeo has three bed divans, two adjustable beds, and a flat (platform) foundation for use with the Dormeo Elevate. Besides these foundations, they also have a selection of headboards.
With the Elevate comes a 100 Night Tryout (sleep trial). Dormeo Noth America says, "Sleep free for 100 nights. If your mattress doesn't change your sleep (and your life), we'll take it back." This mattress is also covered by a 25-Year Limited Warranty.
