Dormia Memory Foam 3000
Dormia stepped up the game quite a bit moving upward from the Memory Foam 2000 model to the Memory Foam 3000 model. The memory Foam 3000 is a 4 layer mattress which features the standard HR base layer, two layers of memory foam, and an orthopedic support layer. The two layers of memory foam are separated by having the uppermost layer reside in a pillowtop section. In the case of solid layers of foam, we would usually refer to this as a euro-top. Whatever you like to call it, it will add dimension and possibly extra comfort to the mattress.
The Dormia Memory Foam 3000 is a total of 14 inches thick and appears to be roughly a little less than half memory foam. The memory foam layers may be different grades to provide different feedback. Based on the information available, the mattress appears to fit the ultra plush category, but will only feel so after the foam has acclimated to your body temperature. Initially, the mattress may feel firm, or possibly even ultra firm, if the room is cold.
The Dormia Memory Foam 3000 seems to resemble the SelectaBed Fibro-Pedic, but with the addition of a memory foam euro-top. Since this euro-top is quilted, some of the memory foams natural flex and compression is already used up. We definitely won’t try to say that this layer will not add comfort to the mattress, but the same thing could be achieved without the euro-top. Simply using more or different memory foam could do the trick.
The current Dormia mattress lines are Vista (8"), Savannah (10"), Sonata (12"), and Dolce (14").
