King Koil describes the Dr. Breus Bed as "the first and only mattresses designed by a sleep doctor." The Dr. Breus Bed was originally produced by International Bedding Corporation. King Koil (Comfort Solutions) became the licensee for Dr. Breus in 2012 after IBC folded. Following is the King Koil description of the Dr. Breus Bed:
__________________________
The Science of Sleep from the Sleep Doctor you trust.
Based on his current sleep research and experience with patients, Dr. Breus personally developed each bed individually as a solution for sleep. Each Dr. Breus Bed® is engineered with a proprietary layered system to achieve Dr. Breus' Four tenets of better sleep. His original bed, the Signature, took more than a year of research and development and nine different iterations before being introduced to market. Today, the Dr. Breus bed collection remains the only line of mattresses designed by a sleep doctor.
Owners of the Dr. Breus Bed® also are given free access to Dr. Breus' exclusive House Call Program. You will receive important information, educational resources and tips to help you get a better night's sleep. It's like a house call from your personal sleep doctor. The Dr. Breus Bed® — Your Sleep. Your Health. Your Life.®

Dr. Michael Breus, as a sleep doctor, researched the best ingredients for a mattress which really helps people to benefit the most from their sleep. He arrived at a set of principles for better sleep, which he calls Four Tenets to Better Night's Sleep: 1. Thermoneutrality, 2. Balanced Pressure, 3. Complete Relaxation, and 4. Tranquil Sleep.
~ For Thermoneutrality he prescribed "phase change materials" to keep the temprature of the sleeping surface between 82 and 86 degrees. Changes in the spacing of the molecules will dissipate heat in the higher range and retain it in the lower range.
~ For Balanced Pressure, Dr. Breus directed the use and placement of materials to provide more support where needed and less where pressure points are likely.
~ For Complete Relaxation, the Dr. Breus beds are tailored in their support for differing sleep needs.
~ And for Tranquil Sleep, the Dr. Breus Bed is designed to minimize the transfer of motion from one part of the bed to another. This way movement of one sleeper should not disturb another.
The Dr. Breus Bed comes with the House Call Program. King Koil says, "The Sleep Doctor Is Now Your Sleep Doctor." When a Dr. Breus Bed is delivered, it comes with a "First Night Kit" which has information and tips about sleep health. Then the customer can enroll online in the House Call Program to receive email messages to aid in adjusting to the new mattress and continue with expert sleep advice. This program also includes a monthly newsletter, Your Sleep, Your Health, Your Life.
The current models for the Dr. Breus Bed are Monogram, Emblem, Signature, and Signature Elite. Some retailers still offer Vitality. The firmness levels range from firm to plush, and the prices from $$$ to $$$$.
Dr. Breus also has Sleep Match, a system for guiding bed shoppers to the right mattress for them. According to the King Koil page for Dr. Breus, "The Dr. Breus Sleep Assessment System assists you by providing:
* The perfect SleepMatch for you within the Dr. Breus Bed collection
* An option for a custom sleep system with two unique feels (available at some retailers)
* A confusion-free mattress shopping experience where you make informed decisions
* The proper support, comfort and alignment for you and your bed partner, no matter your body shape, size or sleep need."
"The Dr. Breus Sleep Assessment System offers you an opportunity to have a customized dual-comfort sleep system featuring SleepMatch™ technology – a computer assistance program for identifying sufficient support to body sizes in four size ranges: 1, 2, 3 and 4."

Mattress Durability:
poor
Mattress Support:
After 6 months or so, if 2 people are in the bed, both end up rolling to the center of mattress, sandwiched together, which makes it even hotter and not in a good way. Have to hang onto side of bed.
Mattress Features and Benefits as Advertised:
Dr. Oz endorsed this mattress. Lost all faith in him. I feel I was deceived and lied to about the benefits of this mattress.
Quality:
poor
