The Traditions Collection by Eastman House Bedding (EHB) is a series of innerspring mattresses. Two other EHB innerspring mattress series are the Heritage Collection and the English Hand Tufted Collection.
All three of these coil bed series have pocket coils for support. Also called encased coils, they respond independently to relieve pressure, support the lower back, and minimize transfer of motion from one sleeper to the other. The coils count of Tradition Collection mattresses is 971, the same as for models in the Hand Tufted Collection. The coils in the Hand Tufted group are 8" high. The coil count for Heritage Collection mattresses is 713.
On the Eastman House website, four models from this series are displayed and described, all names beginning with EH Burgundy: Chantley Euro Pillow Top 7346, Bramford Pillow Top 7343, Dorchester Euro Pillow Top 7348, and Elmswell Euro Pillow Top 7350. Cutting through the terminology, three of these are eurotop mattresses, and one is a pillowtop mattress, though the photos show this one as almost a eurotop. The thickness of the top section differs among these models. In order, they are 5", 3", 7" and 6.5" high.
On top of the pocket coil innerspring in each model is the Eastman Insulator Pad. The roles of this layer are to protect the coils and the foam from each other and to transition support to the comfort layers above. Atop this insulator is a layer of Eastman's ultra-high density foam of upholstery grade.
The real differentiation of the four Traditions Collection mattress models is in the pillow top or euro top.
The 5" euro top in the Chantley has two foam layers. One is HD comfort foam. The other is natural latex (this may be all-natural or mostly natural blend with synthetic latex–that is not specified). The 6.5" euro top in the Elmswell also has the comfort foam and latex, but here the comfort foam is foam encased. The 3" pillow top in the Bramford has only the HD comfort foam. The 7" euro top of the Dorchester has a layer of microcoils under a layer of latex.
The top of each Traditions Collection mattress is a satiny cover fabric quilted to a fire barrier and Eastman's quilting foam.
The description for the Elmswell 7350 names 14" Lace Hand Tufting. Taking this as the mattress height indicates that the Dorchester is 14½ inches high, Bramford 10½ inches, and Chantley 12½.
There are other models not listed on the site (Eastman says that not all models are shown). These may have other (Advanced) components, such as coil-on-coil technology, memory foam, gel-infused foams, and damask organic cotton cover fabrics.
Tradition Collection mattresses carry a 10 to 20 year Eastman House manufacturers warranty.
