Currently, Corsicana Bedding of Corsicana, Texas, lists six mattress collections, named by mattress type: Micro Coil, Luxury Hybrid, Pocket Springs, Innersprings, Memory Foam, and Cool Reflections Gel. Additionaly, they have a Medical Division. The Corsicana Elite Series is in the Pocket Springs Collection, and Opulence is part of this series.
There are three Corsicana Elite Opulence models: Opulence Firm, Opulence Pillow Top, and Opulence Plush. Pillow Top is higher than the other two. Though the overall heights of these models are not listed online, they can be approximated from the photos of the mattresses on standard 9" foundations. Judging from these, the Opulence Firm is about 11", Opulence Plush about 10", and Opulence Pillow Top about 12" high. Adding the heights of the foam comfort layers leaves the pocket coils about 6½" high.
Support in the Corsica Elite innerspring mattresses is from the 567-count pocket coils. These individual coils are wrapped in pockets, free to respond independently to each portion of the sleeper's body. This is to prevent pressure points, which can disturb sleep by causing tossing and turning. This self-adapting support also helps keep the spine in line, even for side sleepers. Pocket coils also minimize transfer of motion from one side to the other, reducing partner disturbance.
Around the pocket coil innerspring is foam encasement to protect the coils and support the edge of the sleeping surface.
Each Corsicana Elite Opulence model has a cover quilted to 1½" of quilting foam with fire-resistant fiber.
Each model has a top comfort layer of Comfort Foam, 2" in the Firm and the Push, 3" in the Pillow Top. The second comfort layer is 2" of Support Foam in the Opulence Firm and the Opulence Pillow Top. Inthe Opulence Plush, this is 1" of Supersoft Comfort Foam. It is these layers which determine the height and firmness of each mattress.
The provided foundation for the Corsicana Elite Pocket Coil mattresses is the Deluxe Continental Foundation, an upholstered wood-framed platform to provide solid support for the Corsicana mattress. The Elite Opulence pocket coil mattresses can also be used with adjustable beds.
Warranties on Corsicana mattresses, including Elite Opulence, are issued through the retailers (Corsicana does not sell directly to consumers). For the Opulence models, this is usually 5 years.
