Posture Support Plus

The tagline for the Posture Support Plus by Englander is "BIG on Comfort. Big on Support." This mattress line is "Designed to provide optimum comfort and support for bodies of every shape and size, including the larger sleeper."

The prime feature of Posture Support Plus is is coil-on-coil design. The lower innerspring is 342 Bonnell coils made of 12.75 gauge wire. The advantage of a modified Bonnell unit is its very firm support. By making the hourglass shape less pronounced (see the photo above), it becomes both stronger and more durable.

Atop the heavy-duty innerspring in Englander Posture Support Plus mattresses is a pocket coil layer. These individually wrapped coils are about the same size as the Bonnell coils below. As pocket coils, this layer is engineered to be conforming, distributing support evenly to the whole body. It is triple-zoned for more support in the middle where it is most needed. These two coil units are to work together to provide orthopedic support for the back while relieving pressure points. The pocket coils also eliminate motion transfer. This pocket coil unit is foam encased.

Around the perimeter of the Posture Support Plus coil units and the mattress is a "steel edge support system" for perimeter support for the pocket coils and edge support for the sleeping surface.
<- Natural Latex * Memory Foam ->

The comfort layers of Englander's Posture Support Plus are all-natural latex and soy-based memory foam. The latex is more resilient, and the memory foam conforming. Since this is a collection, specifics are missing for number and thicknesses of foam layers. However, retailers list at least five model names: Clearwater Extra Firm, Titanium Pillowtop, Seabrook Visco Boxtop, Hampton Plush, and Laguna Pillowtop. The comfort levels range from plush to very firm.

As to the warranty, Englander says, "To obtain warranty service on your Englander mattress, please contact the retailer from whom you made your purchase."
