Ethos Refresh Luxury Soft
The
Ethos Refresh mattresses are in the
Ethos Hybrid Collection made by
Diamond Mattress. There are three models, known by their comfort levels:
Luxury Soft (Soft or Ultra Plush),
Medium Firm (Plush) and
Firm (Firm). Each has a different height, due to the number and firmness level of 2" Talalay latex comfort layers.
The
Diamond Ethos collection features Talalay latex, which is made from 100% rubber tree sap. Each of the mattresses in this collection has latex right under the cover, what Diamond calls
Direct Contact. They reason that it is better to have the nothing between the user and the most comfortable feature of the mattress. This is supposed to give the user the full benefit of the latex, without interferring stiff materials. That way the user can experience all the comfort for which latex is known.
Natural latex is flexible and resilient. When weight is lifted from the mattress, it instantly resumes its original shape. This reduces the chances of lasting impressions in the mattress surface, such as often occur with other kinds of foam. Latex is also naturally anti-microbial, anti-fungal, hypoallergenic and dust-mite resistant. Talalay latex is also breathable, because of the cellular structure of the foam, which helps in keeping the sleeping surface cool.
Diamond says, "We process all the [latex] materials right here at Diamond so we know they are the best."
The
Ethos Refresh series are hybrid mattresses. The primary support is an innerspring core of pocket coils, 744 of them hand-nested in a queen-size mattress. The coils give the
Refresh mattresses a "traditional" feel, which combines the sure support of the coils with the cushioning comfort of the latex. Pocket coils tailor the support of the innerspring to the shape and weight of a sleeper's body. Each coil responds individually to pressure put directly on it. This means that the contoured support on the body eliminates pressure points, as often occur with the old Bonnell coils. It also better promotes proper spinal alignment for better back health.
The
Ethos Refresh Luxury Soft mattress is 14" high. When used with an 8"
Diamond foundation, the overall height is 22 inches. The
Ethos Hybrid mattresses are also adjustable friendly.
Diamond also distributes and sells adjustable beds made by
Leggett & Platt, including the
S-Cape and
Pro-Motion.
Diamond Mattress warranties its
Ethos Refresh mattresses for 20 years. The
Refresh mattresses are not sold online, but are available at stores carrying
Diamond mattresses. Many of these stores are in southern California.
