Hybrid Mattress Collection
The
Hybrid Mattress Collection by
Signature Sleep is a line of
innerspring mattresses which combines the support of
coils with the cushioning of
foam. This collection has four models:
8" RenewFoam Gel Memory Foam/Coil Mattress,
10" RenewFoam Gel Memory Foam/Coil Mattress,
8" RenewGel Memory Foam/Coil Mattress, and
6" Glory Dual Comfort Mattress.
Support for each of the
Hybrid Collection models relies on
coils. In the first three models, these are independently encased coils, which are cited as eliminating motion transfer. The type of coils is not named for the
6" Glory Dual Comfort Mattress, but since the claim is made that they "eliminate motion disturbance between sleep partners and relieve pressure along the body," this indicates that they too are individually encased.
The 8" and 10"
RenewFoam Gel Memory Foam/Coil mattresses differ in the heights of their foam layers. They both have a top layer of gel-infused
memory foam, called
RenewFoam by
Signature Sleep.
The
8" RenewGel Memory Foam/Coil Mattress, and
6" Glory Dual Comfort Mattress has a top layer of
RenewGel, a covered layer of
gel. Its primary function is to cool the sleeping surface, but gel also has its own beneficial support properties. Both this model and the two above have a layer of high density foam. They also have
CoolMax in their
covers to help cool the sleeping surface.
The last model in the
Hybrid Mattress Collection by
Signature Sleep, the
6" Glory Dual Comfort Mattress, is deliberately flippable. Inside the "lavish
polyester" cover of this two-sided mattress is a coil support layer. On one side of this
coil array is a 1" layer of memory foam. This makes the mattress firmer on one side and less firm on the other. The users can select the comfort level just by which side is up. Though not stated in the reviews, they can also select the temperature level, since air flows through coils and memory foam collects heat. This makes one side warmer than the other: one side for winter, one for summer.
Hybrid Mattress Collection models carry
Signature Sleep's 1-year limited warranty. A number of retailers list these matresses for sale online. For now, they are not available in stores (unless one places an online order from the store).
