iComfort Directions Inception
The
Inception is an 11" high Firm
memory foam mattress in the
iComfort Directions collection made by
Serta. This
mattress has the three signature features of
iComfort Directions models:
Thermo°Cool™ yarn fabric cover with
TENCEL fibers,
Cool Action™
Dual Effects® memory foam,
Pods™ Gel-Activated Support, and the
Comfort Last® Foam Core with
Ultimate Edge® Support. Other features include
EverCool GfX Memory Foam, and
Serta's
PillowSoft™ Foam.
The
cover fabric is made of
Thermo°Cool™ yarn with
TENCEL fibers.
TENCEL was developed to wick moisture to cool by evaporation. It also resists dusts mites, molds, and bacteria. This is quilted with
FireBlocker to meet federal flammability standards.
Below the cover are layers of
EverCool GfX Memory Foam and
PillowSoft™.
GfX is infused with fibers of graphene, a form of graphite, used as a heat conductor for cooling the sleeping surface. The sheets of graphene are extremely thin, measured in nanometers (it takes 25.4 billion nanometers to equal 1 inch).
PillowSoft is a super soft foam.
The
Pods™ gel-activated support layer is a new feature for
Serta iComfort mattresses. It is a layer of
foam with
gel discs to shape the support of the support core below.
The support core of the
iComfort Directions Inception is a 6"
Comfort Last® Foam Core with
Ultimate Edge® Support.
Comfort Last® is extra firm, highly resilient
polyurethane support foam. It is designed to last, undergirding the comfort layers above to keep them from bottoming out and to make them last longer. Around the support core is the
Ultimate Edge® foam encasement to provide edge support for the sleeping surface and to bolster the support core.
Serta recommends the
Motion Custom™ Adjustable Foundation. It is also compatible with
Serta's
StabL-Base Foundation, a platform with V-shaped steel supports for motion isolation.
The
iComfort Directions Inception is covered by the
Serta 25-year limited warranty against defects in manufacturing and/or materials. The first 15 years are non-prorated. The last 10 years are prorated. The
Inception is carried by several national, regional and local retailers, both in stores and online.
