iComfort Directions Reinvention
Reinvention is the fourth model in the new
iComfort Directions Collection of
memory foam mattresses made by
Serta. This 12˝"
mattress has the features common to
iComfort Directions models:
Thermo°Cool™ yarn Fabric Covers with
TENCEL® fibers,
Cool Action™
Dual Effects Gel Memory Foam,
Pods™ Gel Activated Support, and
ComfortLast® Foam Core with
Ultimate Edge® Support. It also has
EverCool™ GfX Memory Foam,
Serta PillowSoft™ Foam, and
Cool Reaction™ Slow Recovery Latex Foam.
The
cover fabric of the
iComfort Directions Reinvention is made of
Thermo°Cool™ yarn, which contains a
cotton-
polyester blend and
TENCEL® fibers.
TENCEL® was developed for use in clothing worn by persons engaged in strenuous activities. The fibers wick moisture away to evaporate and cool the wearer. They keep the sleeping surface of a mattress dry and cool. Under this cover panel is a fiber pad of
FireBlocker flame retardant.
EverCool™ GfX Memory Foam has extremely thin sheets of graphene, a highly heat-conductive form of graphite, to carry heat away to dissipate. The memory foam itself conforms to body contours to relieve pressure points. Under the 2" of
EverCool is 1" of
Serta PillowSoft™, a super soft foam for plush cushioning.
Reinvention is unique among
iComfort Directions models in having
Cool Reaction™ Slow Recovery Latex Foam. This
latex foam is engineered to respond instantly to the body without springing back too quickly. Latex is naturall breathable, anti-microbial and hypo-allergenic.
Cool Action™
Dual Effects Gel Memory Foam is described in detail in other
iComfort and
iSeries reviews on this site. It is infused with two gels:
MicroSupport and
MicroCool+ gels for focused support and for temperature regulation with
Phase Change Materials.
The 1"
Pods™ Gel Activated Support layer has discs of gel for enhancing support of the
ComfortLast® Foam Core.
The 6"
ComfortLast®
polyurethane foam core undergirds the
memory foam and latex layers. Around it is the
Ultimate Edge® foam encasement for edge support of the sleeping surface.
The recommended
foundations for the
iComfort Directions Reinvention are
Serta's
Motion Custom™ Adjustable Foundation and
StabL-Base flat foundation (available in 9" Standard and 5˝" Low Profile). This model carries a 25-year warranty, which requires a suitable foundation.
