iComfort Genius EverFeel
Genius EverFeel is the second lowest
memory foam mattress in the 2014 revision of the
iComfort Collection by major bedding manufacturer
Serta. This extra firm
mattress has four layers, with
Serta® Support Foam added to the three signature features of this collection:
EverFeel™ Technology,
Cool Action™
Dual Effects® Gel Memory Foam, and
Comfort Last® Foam Core with
Ultimate Edge® Support.

EverFeel™ Technology is designed to yield the contouring conformity of
memory foam without the heat accumulation. This ¾"
foam at the top of the mattress also responds more quickly to changes in a sleeper's position, since it does not depend on heat for its response.
Beneath the
EverFeel layer is 1½" of
Cool Action™
Dual Effects® Gel Memory Foam. This memory foam is infused with two
gels:
Microsupport and
Microcool+.
Microsupport is the gel in
Cool Action Gel Memory foam. Beads of support gel are concentrated under areas of the body requiring additional support, giving it a zoned effect. This is the
Cool Action Gel memory foam used in
iComfort's 2013 collection.
For 2014,
Serta added a
Microcool+ Gel to
Cool Action for temperature regulation. Contained within
Microcool+ are
phase change materials (PCMs). These keep temperatures within a desired range by changes in physical state. If the temperature rises above the range, the
PCMs absorb heat and liquify. If temps fall below the range,
PCMs release heat and solidify.
The next layer is 2" of
Serta® Support Foam. According to
Serta, this foam "combines gentle cushioning with extra support, for more firmness at the sleep surface."
The
Comfort Last® Foam Core provides the basic overall support for the
iComfort Genius EverFeel. This not only supports the sleepers, it keeps the support foams from bottoming out and extends the life of the memory foams.
Edge support for the sleeping surface of the
Genius EverFeel is provided by the
Ultimate Edge® Support foam encasement. This makes the surface completely usable from edge to edge. It also prevents roll-offs from the edge collapsing.
Foam mattresses require consistent support all the way across the bottom.
Foundations which meet this requirement are
platform beds,
adjustable beds, and
European wood slats.
Serta supplies a platform, the
StabL Base Foundation, and an adjustable bed, the
Motion Perfect.

iComfort Genius EverFeel is available through many retailers across the United States and Canada. It carries
