iComfort Visionary EFX Cushion Firm
The
Visionary EFX Cushion Firm, as well as the
Visionary EFX Plush, is a mid-high model in the all-new
iComfort® EFX memory foam mattress collection from
Serta. It is 12" high and has a Medium Firm comfort level.
The cover fabric is a blend containing Tencel, fibers extracted from wood pulp. Tencel wicks moisture and cools by evaporation.
Beneath the cover of the
Visionary EFX Cushion Firm is a layer of EverFeel. This is a "poly foam" which can feel like memory foam. It responds to changes in room temperature. This keeps the overall firmness level even.
The
Cool Action™
Dual Effects® gel memory foam is infused with beads of two kinds of gel,
MicroSupport and
MicroCool+. The former is designed to enhance the support of the memory foam without compromising its conformability. The latter is to cool the memory foam by wicking away heat. This works with the open-cell structure of the memory foam.
The
Cool Action™ gel memory foam contains phase chamge materials (PCMs) to regulate temperature. When the temperature is above the designed range, the PCMs liquify by absorbing heat. If the temperature falls below the range, the PCMs solidify, releasing heat.
The
Cool Action layer sits on a layer of
Serta Support Foam. the
Support Foam is to give the mattress a little more firmness, even while the top remains plush.
Primary support for the
Serta iComfort Visionary EFX Cushion Firm relies on a high-resilience support foam called
Comfort Last. This supports all of the other layers to prevent bottoming out and to prolong the life of the softer materials.
