Invacare Solace Resolution Series

The Invacare Solace Resolution Series is the most advanced group of Solace Static Mattresses in Therapeutic Support Surfaces by Invacare. The other two Solace series are Solace Prevention Series and Solace Therapy Series. Solace mattresses are designed to prevent and reduce pressure ulcers, one of the most prevalent maladies of patients unable to move themselves in bed.

There are two sub-series in the Invacare Solace Resolution Series, Invacare® Solace® Resolution 1000 Series and Invacare® Solace® Resolution 2000 Series. These are represented here by models SRS1080 and SRS2080.

The SRS1080 is made for high-risk patients with a two-layer design. The lower layer is high resilience foam with built-in side rails to aid the patient in ingress and egress as well as moving around. It is shaped with a heel slope to further reduce pressure on the feet.

The upper layer is deeply convoluted foam for pressure relief and airflow. This is high density foam for support.

The cover of the SRS1080 is made of two materials. The top panel is 70-Denier nylon which is both breathable (vapor permeable) and fluid resistant. The sides and bottom are made of 11-ounce triple-laminated vinyl.

This model is also available 76" long (SRS1076), and may be ordered in a length of 84" (SRS1084).

The SRS2080 is also known as the Solace Resolution Glissando. It takes a different approach to pressure relief, tackling friction from bending the mattress as the bed is articulated. The Glissando does this by allowing the upper and lower layers of the mattress core to move differentially. As the mattress bends, the layers slide against each other. This limits bunching on the surface and moves the surface a shorter distance, thus reducing friction, one of the causes of sores and ulcers.

This is enabled by a cover of stretchable polyurethane. The seams of this cover are welded to seal it, keeping the foam dry and making it easy to clean.

Like the SRS1080, the Glissando has built-in side supports to easy patient movement, forestall roll-off, and ease egress and ingress.

Besides the standard 80" length, the Solace Resolution 2000 Series Glissando mattress is also available: SRS2076 (76") and SRS2084 (84").

Invacare Solace Resolution Series mattresses are sold through authorized dealers. They carry a warranty of 5 years on the mattress and 1 year on the cover.
