Invacare Solace Therapy Series

The Invacare® Solace® Therapy Series is the middle of three series of Therapeutic Support Surfaces Static Mattresses by Invacare. The other two series are the Invacare® Solace® Prevention Series and the Invacare® Solace® Resolution Series. This series has three model series within it: Solace® Therapy 1000 Series, Solace® Therapy 2000 Series, and Solace® Therapy 3000 Series. Since the standard length for these is 80", they will be referred to by their product numbers, STS1080, STS2080 and STS3080.

Solace Therapy foam mattresses are triple-layered, while Solace Prevention models, such as the SPS1080 and SPS3080, are single or dual layered. Since these are the same heights, the layers themselves must be thinner. The foam is die-cut with a convoluted surface, which makes it more conforming than a plain foam slab, as well as fostering airflow for cooling. The even weight distribution is to reduce pressure points with their sores and ulcers. The foams are zoned to provide more support in the middle with softer cushioning for the head and feet.

All of then have 70-denier nylon top covers with 11-oz. vinyl sides and bottoms. The nylon is fluid-resistant, yet breathable. All of them meet federal fire safety standards.

STS1080 has built-in side supports. These are designed for stability and durability.

The STS 2080 has visco-elastic foam (memory foam) at the heels. Besides the standard 36" widths, this model also comes in two bariatric sizes, 42" and 48" wide.

In STS3080, the whole top layer is memory foam (visco). This is for cradling cushioning for the entire body of the patient. An optional 3" raised side rail is available.

Invacare Solace Therapy Series mattresses are sold by several authorized home healthcare products dealers in the United States and Canada. The mattress is covered by warranty for five years, the cover for one year.
