iSeries Profiles Honoree Cushion Firm

The Honoree Cushion Firm is the lowest model in the iSeries Profiles Collection of mattresses updated for 2014 by mattress manufacturer Serta. It is also one of the two lowest-priced models in this collection—the other is the Honoree Super Pillow Top. This is a medium firm mattress with a firmness level of 4 (on a scale of 10 with 1 being the softest).

The featured components of the iSeries Profiles Honoree Cushion Firm are Serta® PillowSoft™ Foam, EverFeel™ Technology, Cool Action™ Dual Effects® Gel Memory Foam, and Duet® Coil Individually Wrapped Coil-in-Coil Support System with BestEdge® Foam Encasement. The last three of these are signature features of the iSeries Profiles Collection.

The polyester cover fabric is quilted with Pillo-Fill and FireBlocker. Just below this is a layer of Serta® PillowSoft™ Foam. The role of the PillowSoft is to moderate the firmness close to the sleeper.

The next layer is EverFeel™ Technology. EverFeel was developed to yield the cradling conformity of memory foam without its inherent problems of time for adjustment and build-up of heat. This is the one feature which sets the iSeries Profiles Collection apart from the iSeries Hybrid Sleep System.

Cool Action™ Dual Effects® Gel Memory Foam is an upgrading of the Cool Action™ Gel Memory Foam previously used in iComfort and iSeries mattresses. It still has the MicroSupport® gel, with the gel beads concentrated where additional support is needed. Dual Effects also has MicroCool+™ gel to draw heat from the sleeping surface and convey it to where it can dissipate. This new foam has 25% more gel than the prior version.

The support unit of this hybrid mattress is the Duet® Coil Individually Wrapped Coil-in-Coil Support System innerspring. the imdividually wrapped pocket coils are dual coils. Each dual pocket coil is two coils made of one wire. The taller outer coil has fewer turns for a softer response, while the shorter inner coil has more turns and is firmer. These Duet® Coils have a cushioning initial feel followed by deep support. These coil-in-coil pocket coils are conforming for pressure relief and dampen motion transfer. For 2014 the coil density was increased from 924 to 1008 in Queen size.

The BestEdge® foam encasement provides edge support for the mattress as well as perimeter support for the innserspring unit.

StabL-Base Foundation
The recommended foundation for the iSeries Profiles Honoree Cushion Firm is the StabL-Base Foundation. This is a platform with wood base and V-shaped supports. It provides more consistent support for the pocket coils than a traditional box spring. The Honoree Cushion Firm is also compatible with adjustable beds, such as the Serta Motion Perfect.

The Honoree Cushion Firm of the iSeries Profiles Collection is available through several online and in-store retailers. It is covered by Serta's 25-year limited warranty against manufacturing and materials defects with the first 15 years non-prorated.
