iSeries Profiles Prominence Super Pillow Top
The
Prominence Super Pillow Top is a Medium Plush hybrid
mattress in the new
iSeries Profiles Collection by
Serta. At 16", it is the second highest model in this collection, a half inch lower than top model
Caliber Super Pillow Top.
The three signature features of the
iSeries Profiles Collection are (1)
Cool Action™
Dual Effects® Gel Memory Foam, (2)
Duet® Coil Individually Wrapped Coil-in-Coil Support System with
BestEdge® Foam Encasement, and (3)
EverFeel™ Technology. The
Dual Effects is the former
Cool Action Gel Memory Foam updated in 2014 for use in
iComfort and
iSeries mattresses. The
Duet® Coils are an
iSeries support feature with an increased coil count.
EverFeel™ Technology is used only in
iSeries Profiles models.
The
cover of the
iSeries Profiles Prominence Super Pillow Top mattress is a
cotton-
polyester blend fabric quilted to
Pillo-Fill quilting fiber and
FireBlocker. This model is a pillowtop mattress, and according to retailers' descriptions, the pillow top includes
Serta's
PillowSoft foam.
The
Prominence Super Pillow Top has two layers of
Cool Action™
Dual Effects® gel memory foam. The
memory foam in the previous version of
Cool Action was infused with
Serta's
MicroSupport gel. Beads of this
gel are distributed throughout the layer with concentrations where extra support is needed by the body. The
Dual Effects adds
MicroCool+ gel for heat dissipation. This foam also has a higher proportion of gel.
EverFeel™ Technology is between the two
Dual Effects layers.
EverFeel is designed to conform to body contours without the problems of memory foam: heat build-up and the time to adjust to the sleeper's positions.
Beneath the
Dual Effects and
EverFeel are one layer each of
Serta PillowSoft and
Serta Support foams.
The support core of the
iSeries Profiles Prominence Super Pillow Top is an
innerspring unit, the
Duet® Coil Individually Wrapped Coil-in-Coil Support System. This is a pocket coil array in which each
coil is a dual coil. Each dual coil has a dual response. Initially this is cushioning of the outer coil. When the inner coil is reached, it gives firmer support.
Around the
Duet® Coil support unit is the
BestEdge® Foam Encasement. This encasement provides perimeter support for the pocke coils and edge suport for the sleeping surface.
The
Prominence Super Pillow Top is compatible with
Serta's
StabL-Base foundation and
Motion Perfect adjustable base.
Sold by several retailers, the
iSeries Profiles Prominence Super Pillow Top is covered against defects in materials and manufacturing by
Serta's 25-year warranty. The first 15 years are non-prorated, and the last 10 are prorated.
