The Crest Collection by Jamison Bedding, Inc., is a latex-coil hybrid. It features Jamison's double offset coils, also known as the Innerest Pocketed Coil System. Made of tempered steel, the fine-wire LFK coils, called "Smart Coils," turn alternately to the right and to the left. This way, pairs of coils work together. The net effect is to minimize motion transfer, essentially eliminating the disturbance of a sleeping partner.
The Crest Collection models with quilted covers utilize conjugate fibers* and cashmere combined with one of these comfort foams: Temperature Sensitive Memory Foam, Talalay Latex, or Omalon. The comfort layers above the innerspring core are, according to one description, Talalay latex and a choice between memory foam or Omalon foam. The latex is for firm support, and the other adjusts the degree of conformity of the top layer. * Conjugate fibers are also known as "bicomponent fibers." The Free Dictionary describes "bicomponent fiber" as: A fiber manufactured from two different polymers by spinning and joining them in a simultaneous process from one spinneret. Also known as conjugate fiber.
Although the Crest Collection had been a featured line, it is no longer listed and described on the Jamison Bedding website. Another Jamison latex line no longer listed is Choice of Comfort. Among current latex mattress listings on the Jamison Bedding, Inc. website is the TLC Collection with 17 models. The current lines with Smart Coils are Equalizer Collection (7 models) and Vita Pedic Collection (2 models).
