Tea Leaf Dream

The Tea Leaf Dream is the highest model by Keetsa Eco-Friendly Mattresses. Keetsa calls it "Our Most Plush and Body-Relaxing Mattress." The manufacturer refers to this innerspring mattress as a hybrid. Latex and memory foam share with the iCoil innerspring in supporting the mattress.

The advertised plushness of the Tea Leaf Dream begins at the top. The cover is a soft blend of quilted hemp, cotton and polyester. Just below the Fire Safe flame retardant is soft and breathable wool and polyfiber padding. The quilting continues with 1" of memory foam. At the bottom of the quilting is quilt lining.

The base of the tri-partate support core is the iCoil innerspring of 7½" pocket coils, invented by James Marshall at the end of the 1800's to relieve pressure. Pocket coils also isolate motion, not transferring it from one side of the mattress to the other.

Atop the innerspring is a 3" high layer of Latex Sense Foam. Latex is highly resilient, very supportive. It is also breathable and pressure-relieving. Properly rinsed latex foam, also called foam rubber, is hypoallergenic. It is also anti-bacterial and anti fungal.

The third support layer of the Tea Leaf Dream is 2" of BioFoam memory foam. This memory foam is higher density than the comfort memory foam, making it more supportive. BioFoam is partly plant-oil-based, reducing the use of petroleum. The plant polyols are from caster bean oil.

Foundations approved by Keetsa Eco-Friendly Mattresses for the Tea Leaf Dream are those which supply consistent support across the entire bottom of the mattress. The three foundations sold by Keetsa are the Keetsa Steel Bed Frame, the Vivon Bi-Fold Box Spring, and The Freeport, a platform bed made by The BedWorks of Maine. The company does not pair its mattresses with Murphy beds or adjustable beds. In fact, use of these beds or one like them will void the warranty.

The waranty for the Tea Leaf Dream is for 12 years, non-prorated. Conditions include keeping the cover clean (nothing soaked in) and using an approved foundation or placing it on the floor.
