The Kingsbury Plush Euro Top innerspring mattress is among the two highest models in the World Luxury Series by King Koil. It is about 16" high. It has everything that is in the Palermo Plush Euro Top except the GelResponse gel-infused latex foam. Other differences are the higher placement of the ultra soft Perfect Contour convoluted foam and the coil count of the Contour Luxury Plus pocket coil support unit.
The claim of luxury in the Kingsbury begins at the top with the cover fabric of blended silk and wool. Silk is smooth, and wool is temperature neutral. The surface is kept dry with Hydra-Peforma fibers which wick away moisture. This cover is quilted to a Safeguard flame retardant fiber pad.
The top layer of the Kingsbury is AdvantaGel, a resilient foam infused with gel. The resiliency quickly responds when the sleeper moves, and the gel cools by carryng heat away.
Three layers of Super Soft "high performance" foam increase the plushness of the mattress. The first layer is right below the AdvantaGel. Two other, thinner, layers are farther down, just above the coil unit.
Now comes the ultra soft convoluted foam. The modified "eggcrate" surface of the Perfect Contour foam allows air to flow through the World Luxury Kingsbury while it conforms to the sleeper's body contours for pressure relief. This foam has five zones for five areas of the body with a different level of support for each area.
The iFusion layer in the King Koil World Luxury Kingsbury is under the Perfect Contour convoluted foam. iFusion Technology is open-cell memory foam with cells of gel. Open-cell structure makes the memory foam more resilient and breathable while still conforming to the sleeper's body contours. According to King Koil, the gel cells provide pressure relief as well as cooling. Two thin layers of Super Soft separate the iFusion from the coil support unit below.
The Contour Luxury Plus Encased Coil System in the Kingsbury mattress consists of 800 (in Queen size) individually wrapped pocket coils. Also known as "Marshall" coils (after their inventor), each coil responds independently to the user's weight. This provides consistent support along the entire length of the body to reduce pressure points. A fiber pad protects the coils from below, while the surrounding World Luxury Excellent Edge foam encasement holds them in place. Excellent Edge also provides edge support, making the sleeping surface 100% usable.
The preferred foundation for the Kingsbury Plush Euro Top is an upholstered wooden base. This model is also compatible with platform beds and adjustable beds.
The Kingsbury is covered against defects of manufacturing and materials by the King Koil 10-year non-prorated warranty.
