The Lexington is the basic model in the World Luxury Series by mattress manufacturer King Koil. This innerspring mattress is about 11" high and is firm, with only three foam layers between the pocket coil innerspring unit and the quilted sleeping surface.
The top of the Lexington is the same as the other World Luxury Series models. The moisture-wicking property of Hydra-Performa™ fibers is combined with the breathability and temperature neutrality of the silk & wool blend cover fabric. This is quilted to a SafeGuard fire retardant fiber pad.
The main comfort layer is 1½" of AdvantaGel. This is a highly resilient foam infused with gel beads for cooling. Under the AdvantaGel is a "High Performance" foam layer. King Koil calls this, "An extra touch of comfort and support."
Atop the pocket coil support core of the World Luxury Series Lexington is an insulator pad of extra firm foam. This not only separates the coils from the comfort foam, it enhances firmness.
Support for the Lexington is provided by the Contour Luxury Plus encased coil unit. With a coil count of only 630, this is the least dense pocket coil array in the World Luxury Series (two other models have this count). These 8" high coils respond independently to conform to the shape of the sleeper's body. Under these coils is a fiber base pad.
Around the coil unit of the Lexington is King Koil's Excellent Edge™ foam encasement which both protects the coils and provides edge support for the sleeping surface.
King Koil does not specify the recommended foundation for World Luxury Series mattresses, such as the Lexington, but the exploded views of each of the models shows a wood-framed foundation under the mattress. This is a natural choice for pocket coil mattresses. Adjustable beds are also a good fit for these mattresses.
All World Luxury Series models carry King Koil's 10-year non-prorated warranty against defects in materials and manufacturing.
