The tagline for the Haute Couture Collection by Kingsdown is, "Indulgent sleep is always fashionable." Haute Couture is one of Kingsdown's collections of luxury mattresses. Kingsdown applies this name to the Haute Couture Collection saying, "In fashion, Haute Couture implies an extraordinary attention to detail, fit and finishing." According to Wikipedia, "Haute couture (French for 'high sewing' or 'high dressmaking' or 'high fashion') refers to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing."

Haute Couture Collection models are stacked-coil innerspring mattresses with an exclamation point! The innerspring itself is over a thousand individually-wrapped pocket coils. These rest on the high-density foam base pad, and are topped with an insulator pad.
The coil array is also encircled by Kingsdown's Full Body Surround® Edge Support foam encasement. This wall of HD foam holds the coils in place while it, with the insulator and base, protect them. This foam encasement has air channels to facilitate air flow for freshness and cooling. The flow of air dries out the interior of the mattress to prevent corrosion of the coils. In fact, the entire mattress is designef for airflow.
Above the innerspring in a Haute Couture mattress is a four-layer array of European-designed microcoils. Pocket coils are used because of their pressure-relieving conformity, spinal support, and motion isolation. Microcoils multiply this function. With the smaller size and greater density of the microcoils (they bring the total coil count to 8,292 in Queen size), the conformity is more finely tuned to the shape and weight of the sleeper's body. Also, because of greater air flow, microcoils make the mattress cooler.
This microcoil unit is separately foam encased. The two encasements work together to support the edge of the sleeping surface to prevent roll-offs from a sagging edge.
Between the two coil units is a layer of latex foam. Latex adds resilience and is hypo-allergenic, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial.
At the top of a Haute Couture mattress is the cover infused with silk. Hand-tufting quilts this to the layer of gel-infused memory foam below.
Suitable foundations for mattreses in the Haute Couture Collection include the wood foundation provided for this collection, platform beds, European wood slats (if the slats are close enough together) and adjustable beds. Older types of box springs are generally not suitable, but some advanced-design box springs (such as Leggett & Platt's Semi-Flex) are compatible.
Mattresses in the Haute Couture Collection come with a 15-year warranty from Kingsdown. They are available through several retailers across the country and even overseas in places such as Dubai.
