Sleep Haven is one of the new Specialty Sleep collections introduced by Kingsdown in early 2015. The six initial Sleep Haven models are latex mattresses. The other two Kingsdown Specialty Sleep collections are Elliptica (foam spring mattresses) and Miro (memory foam mattresses).
The signature features of Sleep Haven mattresses are two latex foams. One is just latex foam, known for its resilience. Latex is hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. The other latex foam is infused with gel and graphite for cooling.
The cover has Performance Fabric, which appears to be a Damask knit. Performance Fabric has fibers for moisture wicking and temperature regulation. It is quilted to convoluted foam and gel fibers for cushioning and cooling.
The foam support core sits on a high-density foam base pad. It is topped with convoluted foam. The convoluted foams in a Sleep Haven mattress foster airflow for cooling and freshness. The convoluted surfaces also add to the conformity of the latex for pressure relief and motion isolation. The intent is undisturbed sleep.
Around the Sleep Haven mattress is a foam encasement, the Full Body Surround® Edge Support. This stabilizes the entire mattress, holding the individual layers in place and providing edge support to the sleeping surface.
Recommended foundations are not specified by Kingsdown for Sleep Haven mattresses. However, solid flat surfaces are generally recommmended for specialty sleep mattresses. Suitable foundations include platform beds and adjustable beds.
The warranty for Kingsdown Sleep Haven mattresses is for 10 years.
