Magniflex Risveglio

The Risveglio mattress by Italian mattress manufacturer Magniflex is a memory foam mattress, featuring Memoform Magnifoam in the 1⅛" comfort layer and in the quilting. This proprietary version of memory foam is supported by a core of Magniflex's own Elioform support material. Here is the construction of the Risveglio:

1 - Memoform Magnifoam padding
2 - Insulating TNT sheet
3 - Memoform Magnifoam layer
4 - Elioform layer

Memoform Magnifoam is the Magniflex formulation of memory foam. Like other memory foams, it responds to heat and weight of the sleeper's body, conforming to body contours. This shapes the Memoform Magnifoam's support to the user's body, cradling it. This effect provides relief to places on the body subject to pressure points. Memory foam in general has a reputation for accumulation of heat, becoming too hot for sleeping comfort. According to Magniflex, Memoform Magnifoam has an open-cell structure which allows the material to breathe, countering heat build-up with coolness and ventilation. This layer is covered with a sheet of TNT insulating fabric

Elioform is a combination of two types of polyester. This is designed to provide both firmness and toughness for support of the users. This material was engineered for orthopedic support of the spine. The Elioform support core of the Magniflex Risveglio mattress is just over 7 inches high.

The cover of the Magniflex Risveglio is a viscose blend fabric quilted with Memoform Magnifoam. The viscose is there for a soft silky touch, and the Memoform Magnifoam is to enhance the conforming softness of the comfort layer. This brings the height of the mattress to about 9 inches.

The preferred foundation for the Magniflex Risveglio mattress is a European style wooden slat base. In this type of foundation, wood slats are arrayed close to each other across a wooden frame. These slats are bowed slightly upward when there is no weight on them. When sleepers are on a mattress set on this foundation, the slats provide springy support, like wooden leaf springs. The advantage of this type of foundation is that it is made almost entirely of a sustainable material.

The Magniflex Risveglio is made in Italy and shipped to the customers. It comes with a 20 year warranty.
