Magnigel Deluxe Dual 12
The top model in the
Magnigel Collection of
memory foam mattresses by
Magniflex, a
mattress manufacturer based in Prato, Italy, is the
Magnigel Deluxe Dual 12. This 12" high mattress has 2" of
Magnigel Foam, the signature feature of this collection. According to
Magniflex, this
foam consists of "highly breathable, flexible gel" with a "high density structure." The stated benefits of
Magnigel are stable mattress temperatures and soft-yet-light support. The company cites test results supporting their claim.
The
cover, made of quilted
viscose (rayon), is removable and washable. Viscose is made of celluose extracted from wood. It is durable with a silky texture and sheen.
The
Magnigel Deluxe Dual 12 has two 1" layers of
Memofoam, a version of
memory foam made for or by
Magniflex.
Memoform is engineered for quick adaptation to a sleeper's body, responding to weight, not heat. This makes it easier for the user to move without disturbing sleep. The first
Memofoam layer is just beneath the cover. The second is under the
Magnigel.
Between the upper layer of Memofoam and the Magniform is 1" of Super Soft Fiber. The composition of this filling fiber is not stated on the
Magniflex website, but it appears to be polyester.
The 6½" support core of the
Magnigel Deluxe Dual 12 is
Eliosoft, the softer version of
Magniflex's high density, high resiliency
Magniform support foam.
Recommended
foundations are
European style wood slats or a
platform bed.
Adjustable beds may be compatible (they are recommended for most memory foam mattresses by other manufacturers), but first ask
Magniflex or your retailer.
