The Luxury Series is Naturpedic's line of—well—luxury mattresses. This collection has three models, which are actually five models when we take into account the latex-free versions of two of them:
Quartet - Organic Luxury Mattress,
Quartet - Organic Luxury Mattress (Latex Free),
Concerto - Organic Luxury Pillowtop Mattress,
Concerto - Organic Luxury Pillowtop Mattress (Latex Free), and
Symphony - Organic Luxury Pillowtop Mattress.
Each of the innerspring mattresses in the Luxury Series has a support unit of pocket coils in organic cotton pockets. Each also has at least one layer of latex, except the latex-free models. These two models have microcoils in place of the latex. The Naturepedic Luxury mattreses also have organic cotton padding, organic wool padding fire barrier, and organic cotton covers. Not only do these mattresses not have chemical fire retardants, they are certified as chemical-free. Along with other Naturepedic organic mattresses, no synthetic foams are used. All of these are hand crafted.
Wrapped Pocket Coils
At 10" high, the Quartet and Quartet (Latex-Free) are the lowest models in the Luxury Series. The Quartet has 6" high wrapped pocket coils (816 in Queen size). The pocket coils conform to body contours to relief pressure on larger body parts while supporting the lower back. They also cancel motion transfer so one sleeper's movements do not disturb the other. This coil unit is also used in the 13" Concerto and Concerto (Latex-Free), but with more coils (1616). The 17" Symphony has two support layers of 5" high wrapped pocket coils with a coil count of 1632.
Organic Latex Foam
Microcoils
Quartet has one 3" high comfort layer of organic latex (made of 100% rubber tree sap), and the Concerto has two layers, while the latex-free models have microcoils instead. Symphony has 4" of latex, 3" in the comfort layer and 1" in the base layer. Latex is naturally resilient, microbe and mold resistent, and generally hypoallergenic (however there is a small chance of residual latex proteins).
Organic Wool
All Luxury Series models have wool batting for cushioning, temperature and moisture control, and fire retardance. This is organic wool, from sheep raised without hormones and without chemical baths.
Zippered Assembly
Organic Cotton
Concerto and Sympnony are pillowtop models. The zippered organic cotton cover lets the user adjust the comfort of the mattress by replacing, turning or flipping the layers. In the Symphony, the pillowtop layer has a different feel on each side, so the user can change the surface feel by flipping the layer.
All Naturepedic Luxury Series mattresses have a comfort exchange period, 90 days for Quartet and Concerto, 120 days for Symphony. The user can exchange the material in the comfort layers to make the mattress firmer or plusher. These models also come with a 20-year warranty. They are available at several retailers across the country.
