Nature's Sleep
Glacier Gel Memory Foam Mattress

The Glacier Gel Memory Foam Mattress is one of five memory foam mattresses by Nature's Sleep. The other four are the Cayman Gel Memory Foam Mattress, the St. Lucia Memory Foam Mattress, the St. Cloud Memory Foam Mattress, and the Sapphire Gel Memory Foam Mattress. Featuring this company's Superior Gel Technology (SGT) and Tencel fibers in the cover, this mattress is available in four sizes: Twin XL, Queen, King and California King.

The signature feature of the Glacier is the 3½" gel memory foam. The gel beads ("Unique Gel Spheres") are infused into the foam when it is still liquid, which distributes the gel evenly throughout the memory foam. This gel serves two functions: support and cooling. It makes the memory foam more supportive for the same conformity while carrying heat away from the sleeper(s). This memory foam is aerated so air filters through it more easily for coolness and freshness.

The memory foam itself relieves pressure by conforming to the sleeper's body contours. This means that the smaller parts of the body get the support they need and the larger parts do not carry more than their fair share of the burden, meaning that the spine is properly supported and aligned with less pressure on the shoulders and hips. Memory foam also isolates motion, so one sleeper's movement does not disturb the other.

The 380-gram cover fabric contains Tencel fibers. The structure of a Tencel fiber is engineered to wick moisture. This moisture then evaporates for a cooling effect, much like what a swamp cooler does for a building. The cover is zippered so it can taken off and washed. The cover is also antimicrobial and has an anti-skid bottom to keep the mattress and the sheets in place.

The support core of the Glacier Gel Memory Foam Mattress is 8½" of high-density polyurethane foam. This foam supports the entire mattress and the sleeper(s), preventing the "bottoming out" feeling associated with softer foams. The core also supplies edge support to prevent roll-offs due to edge sag. This foam, like all Nature's Sleep foams, is certified by CertiPUR-US as free of volatile organic compounds.

A firm, flat foundation is required for the Glacier, as it is for all memory foam mattresses. This includes platforms and adjustable beds.

The Glacier Gel Memory Foam Mattress is comes with a 20-year limited warranty from Nature's Sleep.. Any sleep trial would depend on the retailer. Designed in the United States, the Glacier is made in China.
