OrganicPedic Lago Nouveau
The OrganicPedic Lago Nouveau, made by Organic Mattresses, Inc. (OMI), is a two-sided latex mattress. This approximately 10¹/₂" model has a 6" latex support core, made of 100% pure latex (natural rubber).

This natural latex is made from the sap of rubber trees in SE Asia. Precautions are taken in preparing this latex sap for shipment to Organic Mattresses, Inc. in the US so that it will not be treated with chemical pesticides and fungicides.

On either side of the latex support core is a sculpted latex comfort layer. This layer is softer than the firm core, moderating the firmness to medium. The sculpting of the surface of this layer allows internal air circulation, ventilating the mattress for freshness and coolness.

The quilted cover of the OrganicPedic Lago Nouveau has a sculpted surface to enhance coolness and comfort. The organic cotton fabric is quilted with Eco-Wool. The cotton is U.S. grown without herbicides or pesticides. The Eco-Wool is untreated wool shorn from sheep raised on small U.S. ranches. These sheep have not been put through chemical dips which would taint the wool.

The benefits of wool are temperature regulation and fire resistance. The latter property makes the use of chemical fire retardants unnecessary for meeting federal flammability standards for bedding.

Being two-sided means that the OrganicPedic Lago Nouveau will last longer than one-sided mattresses. The preferred base for this mattress is the European style wooden slat foundation. Wood slats are laid across the wood frame. They are bowed slightly upward, so they are springy. When closlely spaced, slats provide the support of a platform.

The OMI factory where the OrganicPedic Lago Nouveau is made is the only mattress plant in the USA which is certified as 100% organic, with no chemicals.

The OrganicPedic Lago Nouveau has a 20-year limited warranty.
