The OrganicPedic Lago by Organic Mattresses, Inc. (OMI) is an all latex mattress. This 10" high model features a support core of 6" of firm Talalay latex, topped by 3" of softer latex and covered with a quilted sculpted sleeping surface of knit organic cotton and pure wool. It has a comfort level of medium.

Like all OMI products, the OrganicPedic Lago is hand-crafted in a facility which is certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards). This avoids cross contamination from non-organic products. The Lago itself is certified by GOTS as 100% organic and by GreenGuard as environmentally healthy (no toxic emissions and off-gassing).

As to the advantages of all-natural latex, it is resistant to mildew, mold, microbes, and dust mites. U.S. grown organic cotton does not have any residues from pesticides, herbicides and non-organic fertilizers. As to Eco-Wool, it is breathable and moisture-wicking. Wool also naturally moderates temperatures.

The price of the OrganicPedic Lago is comparable to other latex mattresses of the same size while being certified as organic.

Two OrganicPedic foundations are available. The box spring foundations use steel springs and untreated wood which is cabinet grade. The wood slat foundation, also made of untreated, kiln-dried wood, relies on an array of horizontal wooden slats to provide the needed resiliency and support. Both foundations are upholstered with the same quilting with which the mattress is covered.

The OrganicPedic Lago carries a 20-Year Limited Warranty.
