Ortho-Posture Firm Euro Top Mattress
The Ortho-Posture Firm Euro Top Mattress is a firm model in the line of mattresses made under the Ortho-Posture brand, a private label of Sleepy's, LLC (a.k.a. "The Mattress Pros") and its affiliates, such as Mattress Discounters and 1800 Mattress.

The Firm Euro Top is an innerspring mattress with "polyfoam" (polyurethane) cushion layers. The primary support is the Bonnell coil unit with a coil count of 390 in Queen size. Bonnell coils are shaped like an hourglass and laced together top and bottom into a grid pattern. The density and/or coil gauge is heavier in the central region of the mattress to provide more support for the lumbar (lower back). Sleepy's did not say what is used for edge support, but there is an insulator pad under the innerspring unit.

The comfort layers are made of "polyfoam" which Ortho-Posture says is a "soy-based" material. The Ortho-Posture Firm Euro Top Mattress has three of thes foam layers above the coil unit. This model is one-sided, which means that the comfort layers are only on one side of the coils. This saves on the cost of the mattress, making it less expensive, but it also means that the mattrress is not flipable. So while this mattress may cost less than a two-sided model, it has a shorter lifetime without a second sleeping surface to share the wear.

The cover of the Ortho-Posture Firm Euro Top Mattress is a knit fabric which includes Safeguard fibers which are flame resistant, meeting federal bedding flammability standards. Being a "Euro Top" means that the top layer (in this case three layers) is made like a mattress topper and attached to the mattress with sides that are continuous with the mattress's sides (see the photo), unlike a pillowtop which looks like a pillow atop the mattress (compare with the photo for the Ortho-Posture Super Pillowtop Mattress).

The foundation which Sleepy's supplies for the Ortho-Posture Firm Euro Top Mattress is the Titan Foundation box spring made by King Koil. The wood frame of this foundation comes from sustainable forests. It is available Standard (9") and Low (5") heights. Split foundations are available for split queen and split king sizes.

The height of the Ortho-Posture Firm Euro Top Mattress is 8 inches. It comes with a 5-year non-prorated warranty. It is available in Sleepy's stores and those of its affiliates. It is also available online through Sleepy's, Mattress Discounters and 1800 Mattress.
