Ortho-Posture Pillowtop Mattress
The Ortho-Posture Pillowtop Mattress is a plush model in the Otho-Posture line, a private label brand for the Sleepy's chain of beddings stores and its affiliates, such as Mattress Discounters and 1800 Mattress.

Otho-Posture mattresses are in the lower price range, making them affordable for most customers. One way Sleepy's Ortho-Posture keeps the cost of these mattresses down is by making them one-sided —— no-flip construction.

The Ortho Pillowtop is an innerspring mattress. The innerspring unit is made of Bonnell coils, 390 in a queen size. Bonnell coils are hourglass shaped, tied together in a grid by wire spirals. These coils quickly yield to weight, a soft initial response, but build up resistance as they are compressed, becoming firmer. This way they are very supportive without being hard.

The innerspring coils in the Ortho-Posture Pillowtop Mattress are configured to provide more support to the lower back for better spinal alignment. They innerspring is foam encased, providing both perimeter support for the innerspring and edge support for the entire mattress.

The plush level is reached by using several layers of foam. According to Sleepy's, their mattresses use soy based foams to reduce the environmental impact of the mattress." Above the insulator pad are two layers of medium-firm polyurethane foam. Atop these is a layer of soft polyurethane. Another layer, super soft foam, is in the pillow top, which is made like a mattress topper sewn to the mattress (see the photo).

The super soft foam is quilted to the knit cover fabric. This fabric includes Safeguard fibers, which are fire retardant.

The Ortho-Posture Pillowtop Mattress has a 5-year non-prorated warranty.
