PedicSolutions 14" Deluxe Gel Mattress
The PedicSolutions 14" Deluxe Gel Mattress boasts several features that, according to QVC, will produce "satisfying comfort" and "superior shut-eye." These are the Coolmax® fabric in the cover, gel memory foam, transitional foam, and support foam.
Beginning at the top, the PedicSolutions 14" Deluxe Gel Mattress's cover is made of Coolmax® fabric, which was developed by Invista to keep those working and playing in the heat cool and dry, a function similar to that of Outlast® technology fabrics. The fibers are engineered to channel moisture away from the body, while a loose weave or knit allows air circulation. First used for athletic wear, it is now being used for sleepwear and mattress coverings. The use of Coolmax® helps keep the user of a memory foam mattress cool and dry while the body is cradled free from the soreness of pressure points.
Just under the cover of the 14" Deluxe Gel Mattress is 2 inches of gel memory foam. This is visco memory foam which has been infused with beads of a microencapsulated gel, which absorb body heat from the sleeper and conduct it away via other gel beads, diffusing and dispersing the heat into the air until it finally dissipates. This gel memory foam is also designed to allow air to filter through it, speeding up the dissipation of heat. The result of this is to be a cooler sleeping experience.
Between the top layer of gel memory foam and the firm support base foam is a 13/4" layer of transitional foam, which is not as plush as the memory foam nor as firm as the support foam. This is to allow additional, but not excessive, plushness.
The base of this PedicSolutions 14-inch Deluxe Gel Mattress is 101/4 inches of high density foam to provide adequate support.
The 14" Deluxe Gel Mattress by PedicSolutions, sold by the shopping channel QVC, is made in the USA with products from USA and Canada. It carries a 20-year limited manufacturer's warranty.
