Pembridge Firm & Pembridge Pillowtop
The Pembridge Firm and Pembridge Pillowtop mattresses are the entry level models of the Summerhill & Bischop luxury brand by Ortho Mattress, Inc. (O-M), a mattress manufacturer/retailer in Southern California. The Summerhill & Bischop brand was unveiled in late 2011.

Summerhill & Bischop mattresses, including the Pembridge Firm and Pembridge Pillowtop, are innerspring mattresses with hand-nested coils. These individually wrapped coils are set by hand, arranged to provide more support where needed while minimizing motion transfer. Coils responding independently to body contours are intended to prevent sagging, at the same time reducing disturbance of one sleeper by the other. O-M says these coils are made of wire which is thicker than the average wire used in other innerspring mattresses. However, the gauge of the wire is not stated, which makes this hard to verify.

Atop the innerspring unit are the comfort layers of foam. O-M claims that this foam is "low emission," meaning that it has little release of fumes from the foam material. The Firm and Pillowtop models differ in the amount of foam and how it is set in the mattress. The Firm is a tight-top mattress with a comfort level called by some "extra firm." The Pillowtop has the extra padding in a separate "pillowtop" layer which is attached to the mattress. This is to moderate the firmness of this mattress.

The covers of the Pembridge models are jump-and-tack quilted, but the material is not revealed. As with other Ortho Mattress models, they have "Solid State" edge support. They are "Platform friendly" and "Adjustable ready." O-M lists a Pembridge Pillowtop adjustable bed with an "Ergo Wireless" adjustable base (this is an adjustable base with a mattress), which has a massage function.

The Pembridge Firm and Pembridge Pillowtop carry a 10-year non-prorated warranty. They are available in over 65 Ortho Mattress Stores in Southern California.
