Applause Firm and
Applause Plush are the entry level models in the
Perfect Day iSeries collection by
Serta.
Serta's
iSeries Technology is the signature feature of
Perfect Day iSeries, as well as of the other
iSeries collections. This is a combination of two
Serta features,
Cool Action™ Gel Memory Foam and the
Duet® Coil Support System.
Cool Action™ Gel Memory Foam is
Serta's open-cell memory foam infused with microencapsulated beads of
MicroSupport™ Gel. Gel increases the support level of memory foam while retaining its cradling conformity, enhancing the relief of pressure points. At the same time, the gel cools the memory foam and the sleeping surface by carrying heat away.
The
Duet® Coil Support System in a
Perfect Day iSeries mattress uses individually wrapped dual coils. These are 2-in-1 coils, coil-in-coil. Each pocket coil has a full-sized outer coil with a smaller inner coil. In the
Duet® Coil Support System, the inner coil is itself wrapped. The outer coil initially responds to the body weight of a sleeper, a chushioning effect. As this coil compresses, the inner coil is engaged, increasing the support. This slows down the sinking of the sleeper and keeps the coil from bottoming out. Ideally, this coil system is suitable for both heavyweight and lightweight users. These coils are also better at dampening motion transfer and its partner disturbance.
As the entry level models, the
Serta Perfect Day iSeries
Applause Firm and
Applause Plush are lighter, with less padding. The cover is cotton-polyester fabric quilted with
FireBlocker fibers,
PilloFill, and 1.5" of
Serta's
Comfort Foam.
The comfort section has two 1" layers,
Cool Action™ Gel Memory Foam and another foam. In the
Applause Firm, this is
Serta's
Support Foam, and in the
Applause Plush Comfort Foam.
Two foundations are offered by
Serta for use with the
Perfect Day iSeries Applause Firm and
Applause Plush. One is
Serta's
StabL Base Foundation, a box spring, available in standard (9") and low profile (5.25") heights. The other is the
Serta Motion Perfect Adjustable Foundation.
The
Applause Firm and
Applause Plush in the
Perfect Day iSeries by
Serta are available through dozens of retailers across the country. They have a 120-day trial period and carry a 25-year warranty.
