Cool Action is memory foam which is infused with
Serta's
MicroSupport™ microencapsulated gel. Memory foam is known for its conformity to body contours and its return to original form after weight is removed. Gel enhances its support, but it is also there to cool the mattress. As in gel foams used by most manufacturers, this gel absorbs heat from the sleeping surface and conducts it away to be dissipated.
The
Duet® Coil innerspring is representative of dual coils which are now widely used in many mattress brands. This is a coil-within-a-coil system with a taller exterior coil and a shorter interior coil. The exterior coil is more responsive, with a cushiony feel. The interior coil is firmer for underlying support. One advantage of a dual-coil systen like
Duet® Coil is its suitablity for both lightweight and heavyweight users.
Pricewise,
Enjoyment is close to the middle of the line in the
Perfect Days iSeries. It is a firm mattress, about 11" high. It has two layers of
Cool Action gel memory foam and a fully-zippered quilted cover.
According to Serta, the Continuous Comfort quilt, which is certfied for fire safety, allows the sleeper to benefit from the gel memory foam's cooling. The two Cool Action layers are to relieve pressure points by their conforming support while countering memory foam's tendency to build up heat.
The Duet Coil system is partly described above. As it responds to each sleeper, it also dampens motion transfer, so when one sleeper moves, the other is not disturbed. These are also pocket coils, and the primary goal of the dual pocket coils is to conform to the body in a way that provides orthopedic spinal support.
One additional feature is the hidden Secret Grip handles to make moving the mattress easier without intruding on its appearance.
The Enjoyment is compatible with the optional Motion Perfect adjustable bed sold by Serta. The StabL Base Foundation box spring is also available in either the 9" Standard height or the 5¼" Low Profile.
There is a 120-day sleep trial and a 25-year warranty on Serta's Perfect Day iSeries Enjoyment mattress.
