Perfect Sleeper Essentials Grenquist Firm
Grenquist Firm could be labelled the "entry level" model in the
Essentials Collection of
Serta's
Perfect Sleeper brand
innerspring mattresses. At about 10" high it is the lowest mattress in this collection. The reason for this is that it only has a
Serta Support Pad between the coils and the quilted cover.
The
cover fabric of the
Grenquist Firm is a blend of
polyester,
rayon, and lycra. It is quilted to
FireBlocker Fiber flame retardant,
Pillo-Fill quilting fiber, and 1" of
Serta's
PillowSoft Foam. Beneath this quilt is a
Serta®
Support Pad.
The support core of the
Perfect Sleeper Essentials Grenquist Firm is a 520-count
continuous coil innerspring. The rows of
coils in this
Continuous Support unit are oriented lengthwise, from head of the
mattress to the foot. This configuration minimizes motion transfer from one sleeper to the other. Continuous coil springs are very durable, more so than other innerspring types.
Edge support is the role of
Serta's
Comfort Last® Construction. A 6-gauge perimeter rod, called
Reinforced Edge®, bolsters the edges of the sleeping surface to prevent roll-off.
Being a continuous coil
innerspring mattress, the
Grenquist Firm is compatible with a variety of
foundations:
box springs,
platforms,
wood slats,
adjustable beds.
Serta provides two:
StabL Base double-beam foundation and the
Motion Perfect II Adjustable Power Base.
The
Grenquist Firm is available through several retailers. Some of these retailers use alternative names for this model. A few also offer the
Grenquist Plush or its equivalent, which is not shown on the
Serta website.
Serta covers the
Essentials Grenquist Firm with is 10-year limited manufacturers warranty. The company also has its
Comfort Assurance Program, a 45-day sleep trial period. They say, "We know that even after making a careful selection, sometimes people may need a different level of comfort." Some retailers offer a 100-day sleep trial.
