Essentials Prestbury Super Pillow Top
The
Prestbury Super Pillow Top is the top-end model in the 2014 edition of the
Perfect Sleeper Essentials Collection by
Serta. This approximately 12" high
innerspring mattress has the standard features of
Essential models: the 520-count
Continuous Support innerspring with
continuous coils, and the quilted
cover. To these the
Prestbury Super Pillow Top adds
Serta®
Comfort XD™ Foam, an
Innerpanel,
Cool Twist™ Gel Memory Foam (found in each
Prestbury model), and a
Serta®
Insulator Pad.
The top panel of the cover is a blend of
polyester, lycra and
rayon, while the sides are polyester. The top is quilted to
Pillo-Fill®,
FireBlocker®
Fiber, and 1 inch of
Serta's
PillowSoft™ Foam.
The support core is
Serta's continuous coil
innerspring, labelled
Continuous Support. The rows of coils run head-to-foot. This minimizes motion transfer from one side of the mattress to the other to reduce partner disturbance.
The top comfort layer is 2¾" of
Serta's
Comfort XD™ Foam, designed to combine support with cushioning.
Beneath this is a layer of
Cool Twist™ Gel Memory Foam. This
memory foam is infused with liquid
gel. While the memory foam conforms to the sleeper's body contours, the gel conducts heat away for cooling.
Finally, just above the innerspring, is a
Serta Insulator pad. This protects the memory foam from the coils and it transitions between the two kinds of support.
Recommended
foundations are
Serta's
StabL Base platform, with the steel center support, and the
Serta Motion Pefect II adjustable base.
The
Perfect Sleeper Essentials Prestbury Super Pillow Top is available through several retailers across North America. It carries a 10-year limited warranty, and has a 45-day
Comfort Assurance trial period (though a few retailers offer up to 100 days).
