Newfound Bay Super Pillow Top

Newfound Bay Super Pillow Top is the top model in the SmartSurface Elite Collection of innerspring mattresses of the Perfect Sleeper brand by Serta. The other models are Newfound Bay Firm, Newfound Bay Plush, Kessner Super Pillow Top, Kessner Firm, and Kessner Plush. This collection differs from the SmartSurface Collection at the top. The quilted cover adds latex foam infused with Serta's MicroSupport® Gel.

As with all Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses, the Newfound Bay Super Pillow Top in the SmartSurface Elite Collection is designed to address the 5 Common Sleep and Mattress Issues: 1) Tossing & Turning, 2) Lack of Support, Leading to Back Pain, 3) Sleeping Too Hot or Too Cold, 4) Partner Disturbance, and 5) Mattress Roll-Off or Sag. The solutions for these are 1) Pressure Relieving Comfort, 2) Proper Back Support, 3) Balanced Sleeping Temperature, 4) Undisturbed Sleep, and 5) Prevents Roll-off or Sag.

In the Newfound Bay Super Pillow Top, the pressure-relieving comfort begins at the top. The cover features the SmartSurface technology with the addition of Serta's MicroSupport Gel. Beads of this gel are infused into latex foam. They are strategically placed for more support where needed. Added to this is the support of Body Loft anti-microbial quilting fibers in the cover. The quilting also includes a half-inch of Serta's PillowSoft Foam and FireBlocker Fiber. This is combined with the conformity of the Cool Twist™ gel memory foam in the Top Upholstery.

The top layer of the Newfound Bay Super Pillow Top is 2.75" of Serta's Comfort XD Foam. Under this are the Cool Twist, 1" of Serta's Support Foam, and a Serta® Insulator Pad.

Proper back support is the designed goal of the 814 coil-count Free Flex® Innerspring. This upgraded continuous coil with TrueSense® coil design is engineered to be more responsive to the shape of a sleeper's body. It also features Perfect Sleeper's Custom Support® with 25% more support in the center section of the mattress.

The balancing of temperature in the Newfound Bay Super Pillow Top is the job of the SmartSurface design. Cool Twist is liquid gel infused into memory foam to conduct heat away from the sleeping surface. The open-cell structure of the foams and the natural breathablility of the fibers in the quilt are designed to allow air to flow through for cooling. Also, the BodyLoft fibers wick moisture away, and evaporation of this moisture should have its own cooling effect.

The Free Flex Innerspring has been designed to have less motion transfer than ordinary continuous coils. Coupled with the longitudinal orientation of the rows, this lessens partner disturbance.

Full foam encasement of the innerspring in the SmartSurface Elite Newfound Bay Super Pillow Top provides edge support for the sleeping surface. This is in addition to the perimeter rods at the top and bottom of the innerspring.
