Posture Balance is a mattress collection made by Diamond Mattress, a California mattress manufacturer. It has five or six models, depending on whether Everest is included. The collection has two kinds of innersprings. The models Dakota, Everest, Sierra, Avalon, and Cambridge have Diamond's Verti-Coil spring system with a 460 coil count. The other Posture Balance model, Morgan, has a Bonnell innerspring. Diamond Mattress describes the Verti-Coil as better than Bonnell, but not as good as pocket coils in minimizing motion transfer. The edge support in Posture Balance is foam encasement.

The Posture Balance mattresses range from 9" to 12" in height. This partly reflects the thicknesses of the comfort layers. The 9" tight-top Cambridge is Firm (9 on a scale of 1-10), and 12" pillowtop Dakota is Plush (3). However, the firmness of the foam also determines the firmness of each model. The foam used is Diamond Mattress's Eco-Flex, which is a plant-based component, using ingredients such as soy-oil. This reduces the role of petroleum products in manufacturing.

The comformability of mattresses in the Posture Balance collection is listed as "Medium Low," which is expected with the Vert-Coil spring system. For more conformability, look to pocket coils or to deeper comfort layers of memory foam.

The mattresses in the Posture Balance collection are not compatible with adjustable beds because of the nature of their innersprings. Diamond Mattress does sell other bases, such as wood foundations, made from forest-cut timber (a sustainable resource) and upholstered to match the mattress covers.

The covers are made of quilted stretch knit fabric, which adapts to the contours of the sleeper. These covers include fibers which retard the spread of flames.

Posture Balance mattresses come with a 20-year warranty. They are available in stores in Southern California and adjoining areas.
